I see. It's a great idea. i'll be glad to talk with you from time to time -if you don't mind having a teacher. I don't have a lot of time, but I'll try to come. What topics do you want to discuss? Personnally, I can talk about Sci-Fi series, I'm very keen on them. By the way it's a good way to improve your understanding and even your accent, particularly when you don't have French subtitles!

PS : I don't know if you would like me to point out your mistakes... I find it a bit time consuming, and I am very busy, as I said

as you are a teacher,I totally understand that you cannot devote all your time on the website !
as far as I am concerned, I hope that my English is good beacuse I have a diploma in business english so I have to do my best to keep my English at a good level
For the topics, you can talk about what you want..., it's not a problem for me !

I've been informed that for HEC Montreal, as French citizen you'll pay as quebecer resident. But You won't be able to work more than 20 hours a week due to your visa student. Dunno about the organisms but you should try to google it. To answer you, Canadian and American accent it's quite similar. They both speak like yankees. It can vary from territories to others but it's the same accent. They do exactly the same english mistakes. Like, "I don't got to", instead of "I don't have to" ...........
Honestly try the US. The only problem is if you are muslim or arabic or if you have an arabic name. Since 9/11 it's complicated for them to put feet on american soil. My sister is living in New York she's teaching French and Spanish. I was thinking about doing the same cos London is overpriced. It's said that, house prices in London have risen to a level where they are nearly seven times greater than an average teacher's salary. Can you believe it? That's why most of English people are forced to move in Australia. I've got a british passport but I don't see myself in Australia.

I check your profile out, you've just passed your BTS. Ain't you? What are u gonna do after?

I'll forget about HEC Montreal, its not what I want to do anyway (soo expansive!)... If I really want to go to Canada, I'll go there as a baker!! they make sooo much money with their french bread! yumy :) Or maybe to sell french products... Nevermind.

Concerning London... no way?!! I didnt know it was such an expansive town (and country?) So you live there?! What do you think about it? not as rainy as its supposed to be?
And maybe Australia could be a great experience!! I really dont know it...
My aunt lives in the New Jersey (not far from NY which is such an amazing town!!) Its beautiful, to my mind, but its obvious living there should bekind of "difficult".
You seem to know both Canada and the States, am I right?

Concerning my studies... actually I dunno. After passing my exam (this year), I'll try ESC, or a human ressources school so as to obtain a MBA (by the way, is it usefull to have it to work in a foreign country? what do english countries really want?) Is the TOEIC (or theTOEFL) usefull too? but Im not sure my level is good enough... :embarassed: I only learned english at school!

I thought about going to Irland after my studies, so it will be easier to move to America. What do you think about it?

You right about the weather. It's pouring several times in here. The summer was shit. Was not it supposed to be warm? I should be wearing a tshirt board short and sandals. Supposedly, there’s some arctic wind that happened to come down or something like that. The weather is killing me.

Britain and above all London is damn too much expensive. I did not even know that London was not the most expensive in the world. Moscow is.
You know, I wanna teach but I don't think I'll be able to afford a flat in here with the a teacher salary, so I'm thinking about moving from here once graduated. As british citizen, I've got some opportunities in Australia but it's far from the UK.

Dunno about the toefl or toeic. Even if English is my first language, it's far from being perfect so, with a good english you can get a job without any difficulty. I heard so many french people in England with a bloody accent while, it does not prevent them from getting a well paid job.
I've got a simple question. What do u wanna do.

I saw we are an English teacher here.  :wink2:

Wizard are u teaching in a secondary school or High school?

I confirm that it's very boring to work on Saturdays.

I am in Yemen and here the weekend is on Thursday and Friday and so Saturday is the beginning of the week and it is very strange to work in a company on Saturday and Sunday, especially when most of the providers are closed...
And I need a vacation. :wink2: Fortunately, in 2 weeks I will have a vacation and I will come back in France during 3 weeks.

The weather is very hot here. Sometimes it's really too sunny.

My company is LinKinTime. It is a French-Yemeni company which is a Wireless Applications Service Provider in Yemen and in the Middle East Region.
So to speak it is a mobile technology company.

okey!! I've just read your other message on another topic! indeed it's interesting but not really well paid! What is the minimum wage in Yemen? And about your working hours you can trust me i understand you!! I'm in the same situation, going back home at 20:30 pm everyday and no time for anything else than your job... F*cking situation !

For sure it's not a well-paid job even if it's interesting..

But actually in Yemen the average wage is around 100 $ and I earn 500 $ for the moment, after my trial period I will probably earn around 850 $, nevertheless I will try to negotiate to have more [sub][/sub]

If I compared my salary to what I could earn in France it's sure that it's very less but it's a good experience and in France I'm not sure to find a job like mine...

I don't have time to do things apart from working, so it's difficult and I'm very tired sometimes but it's a beautiful country and I will try to discover each part of it.

Moreover despite many rumors which said that Yemen is an unstable and dangerous country, tourists are still flocking around to explore the spectacular ancient remnants of history and remarkably beautiful landscapes.

I don't know the exact translation of "en alternance" but I think that "work-based learning" could be suitable for it.

Moreover, to translate "BTS" you could say either "advanced vocational diploma" or "vocational training certificate", I found the translation in a book I bought during my studies, "Guide de la Communication Professionnelle - Anglais, Casteila, D. Heyte".

This book helped me during my studies and currently I always use it sometimes .
I did a BTS AST and since July 2007 I am a Personal Assistant in a French-Yemeni company in Yemen.
