Exercice d'anglais avec for since ago

Je suis en train de travailler sur un exo d'anglais pour envoyer en devoir.
J'ai un pb sur 2 phrases.. il faut completer par since ago ou for.

____ when has te company been trying to expand its research department ?

Je sais po quoi mettre.


In factory, they have been using the same manufacturing process__ages,_____ it wa set up, in fact 150 years___.

Pour cette phrase à la derniere proposition, je mettrais AGO.
Les deux autres je sais po...

Moi je te propose ça. C'est vrai que j'ai toujours eu du mal avec since et for, pas avec ago. Bizarre... Donc pour ago, c'est sur...

pour la 2ème phrase c'est Ok, pour la première je ne vois que Since à mettre mais la formulation même de la phrase me choque un peu... :| (il n'y a même QUE "since" qui peut passer)

mais c'est vrai que la première est bizarre!!!!!

en fait la premiere a l'air bizarre a la forme interrogative
mais mettez la phrase a la forme affirmative , ca fait moins bizarre je trouve avec le since

Since s'emploie pour exprimer une date précise.

Ex: I haven't seen him SINCE 1992.

For s'emploie quant à lui pour exprimer une durée.

Ex: I haven't seen him FOR 10 years.

Sinon, on peut aussi exprimer cette dernière phrase par:

I last saw him 10 years ago=ça fait 10 ans que...

vous voyez quand on la traduit elle n'est pas bizarre... :mrgreen:
oui il faut metre SINCE c'est la bonne réponse
