Let's speak english together !

I know (let's speak english again), nobody's prefect as you said, please forgive me for my unacceptable mistakes while writing in the Shakespear's language (par contre l'orthographe de shakespear ?). Let's have a new topic to improve our english, any ideas ?
 
true, but there is a difference between a journey with your friends (where you're gonna speak french all day long) and a long term programm where you're in a host family, forced to speak and understand what people tells you ! You're completly surrounded by the language: for me that's to best way to improve a foreign language !
 
Yeah, I watch US movies without translation, it's hard at first but I got used to it :smile:

To travel, of course is the best way to learn n improve. But I guess you need to settle down for a long time, at least 6 months, that's what I think :unsure: I was in Canada last year for a training period, I stayed there for 2 months only, I learnt a new vocabulary, slang one...but to get the accent you need more time, well that's my opinion :angel:

yup you're right :wink2: that's what happened to me. I was workin in an international school n I was obliged to speak english with everyone, it was fun n enrichin at same time. But in my homestay family, my roommate was from Montreal :laugh: so at times we were speaking french :blush:
 
of course,learn a language is very long and hard ... School's lessons and Movies are definitly not enough !!!

What i like to do is chating with english people...I go very often on a website where you can chose what laguage you want to use and let's go !
it's very good and if you are with people who can't speak french,you can't tell your idea in french,you have to search and try to express yourself and be understood !

I think it's a good training !

I learn English at the moment in a language school. The Language Project of the town of Bristol. Have a good time. Here, it`s easier for me, writting in English with the computer Qwerty. I think that`s better for my practise. I reckom that we must be in the country, if we want the bilingual. Yes, it`s possible. :knuppel:

sure ! but i'll take a city bus from dunkerque to Depanne, it only takes about 20 min to get there but i'm not gonna stay there, just buy my tabacco, drink a belguan beer and take the bus back
