Hi everybody,

I am in an internet cofee in Lincoln (North of UK). I have a big flat with a roommate (a german engineer) who will join me tommorow, there is not Internet but our company rent a large flat for us all equiped. Today I visit the town, and tommorow I begin the serious things. I will stay for four month and my assignment seems to fit very well with my requirement. This is just my second day in England so my english is still to bad. I hope improve it quickly. Their is no french people and people here speak very clearly (it's not like the Londonian).
The only issue is definitely the food ... All is expensive and very "deguelasse" !! 'Il n'y a même pas de saussiflard) !!
I regret because i have to reduce my cultureco intervention and I know that all of you will be sad :D (mainly the leftwing part of the forom) ! I miss you !!

how lucky you are ! I know, the food there is not very good (except the cheese) but you have the choice in supermarkets such as Sainsbury's or Tesco which sell food that you eat in France !! You have the opportunity to improve your English so do your best to speak as much as possible ! Don't worry you see a great difference when you will be back to France

even the cheese is not good in England. For me the food was the worst thing when I was in England!
When I'ven been to Sainsbury or Tesco I did'nt know what to buy! Everything looked so bad for me!
I only like French food so, When I go abroad, I am just sad to leave the French food!

The most funny stuff is: The French bread :notstupide:
The worst things to eat: HP sauce and Gely :beuh:

of course, shopping was my favourite activity in London

oh my godness !!

I'm not lucky !!

I'm in united states since almost 6 months now (i'm aupair), and my host parents lend me a cell phone for this year.
In september I had an accident with my cell phone, I have put in my bag a drink chocolate for my girl but it was already open and alll the drink has flowed in my bag, the cell phone was waited and is died :tickedoff: :chessy:
My host dad understands because it was him who has put the open drink in the fridge!
So, in the same month, I have a new cell phone..and two weeks ago I lost it in Philadelphia during a week-end.
My hosts parents understand again, it is a thing which can happen...I have a new cell phone the last week (the third).
But the last thursday, i was very sick, I fainted, I throw up. And later I got up, the cell phone fell in the water, in the restrooms and made inhaled because at the same moment I pulled the water. I was so crazy !!! Not luck !!
So I have called my host mum to tell that I was very sick. She returned home to pick the girl up and bring her at ther work so that I can relax. And she has told nothing for the cell phone, just "it's alright".
Who makes better?
I didn't saythat in france we said "all things come in threes"
