when a guy or a girl is shy, it's easier to meet someone by this way ...
I wouldn't second this. A shy, anxious person will avoid to talk due to his lack of confidence in that language. I would say the more utter, outgoing you are, the better. Even if you've been learning this language for year, you might feel, your language skills ain't all up to par. So leeloolov, I don't get your point.

It's obviously easier but choosing the net as a way out of your shyness is not a good way to progress...

i think that's obviously why peadophile (when they are too shy) are obliged to use this way
to make contact....

i don't think it makes you really progress

1st one : "Avoir les chevilles qui enflent" ?

2nd one : "Il est né avec une cuillère en argent" ?

This is only a supposition :wink2:

it's when you have to replace somebody who was very exceptional... "ca va etre dur de le remplacer" for example.

lollllllllll It makes me think about people who are always swearing... a foot is supposed to be dirty, so we may be talking about a dirty mouth, like, this guy is always saying f*ck or sh*t.. is he born with the foot in the mouth ?

honestly i don't know, it's just my ideas...

so ? what advices can you give me ?

I thought I could go in an english school during one or two weeks (or more?) and as a nanny during on or two months and then look for a job as a personal assistant for example .. What do u think about it ?
Will my english improve like that ?
The best to acquire English language is to live in an english speaking country. Avoid London cos our accent seems to be very hard. American English I have been told is easier to learn because it floats and people are more relaxed and fun. If I were you, I would go to america to learn it coz in the uk. It's just impossible why? To acquire a new language you need to meet natives people. If you come in London, you'll probabaly work as waiter. However, british people don't work in restaurants. Second, in London you have too many foreigners who harly speak English. Third, England is a very expensive city in which you'll have to work several hours to pay your bills......And it will prevent you from having a social life. So you won't meet people, you won't improve your english. You should try to be au pair somewhere in the US. But avoid big cities.

I prefer American English because it sounds more natural and beautiful than British English. Too much ups and downs our ways of speaking. Above all, ladies and white people. According to me, it easier for French people to get an American Accent than a British one. But the fact is that in almost all the world people are learning British English.
So many people are more intersting to get a British Accent. The British accent sounds like there're no "R" in the sentences and, to me, it sounds more snobbish than the American accent. Unfortunately I got it. I deal wit it. Fortunately for me, women seem to love a man with a British accent though ... just think about all those James Bond movies!

Victoria has a posh accent. The journalist has a natural accent.

I would say, we never know if one day we have to speak english. But I don't think is gonna happen. You talk about learning english as a fatality.

I think that english language is important for some people (in job, in home...); but other people can not to use english language every day. The problem is that english teacher use english text for explain the language whereas they would have to work on the vocabulary (for example, financial terms).
The way for explain english language is, for me, not adapted at work world. It's so

The English is very important now !! but I am bad in English  so I shall take English lessons with a particular teatcher

[sub]désolée j'suis une quiche j'ai dit mais j'ai toujours voulu participer à votre topic [/sub]
