hello ludacris !

about your first count, you can contact the administrator, but in fact, i think it's too late, now you have the new count.

Concerning the english teachers in France, i think you're right. But the national system is too old and should be reviewed !
i think the teachers do the best they can, but in france, we're learning foreign language too late, for my opinion.
When we were child we were more open, more curious, don't we ?
After, most of us are too much lazy, they don't wanna try or work... they probably think that english is not as important as people say... i don't really know (lol).

The best way to speak, read and write a perfect english is to be immersed. USA, UK, Malte, Australie... or other country...

when i went to London for a (too) short week-end, the first day, i was completly lost. i didn't understand nothing, i thought people spoke too fast... i used to have a good level at school, hence i was disappointed a lot.
The second day, i totally felt at easy... i could speak, and more JOKE with the others. It was so great, i wasn't thinking about my sentences in french in my head, it's like the words were running out of my mouth as i always did that lol !

well, that my experience...

See ya ! (don't hesitate to correct me !) :wink2:

why did you copy my text ?
i don't understand ? (2:50 am... i'm a little (a lot) tired...)

did i make some mistakes ? which ones ?

thanks  (as my mother says me "don't me nasty with teachers - ok mum )

hi again, so Bernie and Nescafe i dont know sdo much about you
where do you live ?
which BTS do you study ?

i live in Paris and i am preparing BTS MUC ( its boring )
lol
and u ? :knuppel:

LOL NO OF COURSE nobody is perfect, you are angree to me because of what o said
lol anyway, i don't want say anything wrong about the teacher in france
just the education system is bad ( also not teacher, not all )
i lived in usa for a year and i often go there, thats why i prefer speak and lear english by myself,
however its depend everybody, how they want to learn
-Basic english
-business english
-communication
- slug usa
many kind of english skills, but i think it's important to know more about it, and the teacher doenst tell us the truth, --> how people really speak in a country

i mean the REAL PREOBLEM IS --> why you can not speak and understand english well when you abroad ( UK or USA ) after 8 years study in class ( de la 6e jusqu au BTS ) ?

i think the education is not good enought !

i saw a report in a newspaper and tv, they said usualy people from est europe speaks better than west,
like sweden or norway speaks better than French, Italian... spanish
i confirm, its true ( exept german--> their education is little more strict)

( thats my own opinion )

Not angry at all !
What you wrote about the French system is partly true
Most language teachers do not have a perfect command of the language first and foremost because they don't travel enough and secondly because they do not feel confident enough to sort of innovate in their field and methods.
When I was a high school student myself, ages ago, I used to be in conflict with my English teachers because English was my best subject and I sensed a discrepancy between what they taught, the way they spoke and the English I learned from the Beatles or other groups.
I worked a lot by myself, I would spend hours listening to music and trying to write transcriptions of my favorite songs, and that's how I managed to get a good hear - although I'm quite convinced that it is inborn.
Later, when I started hitching rides across Europe, I picked up more English.
But my point is that I developed a personal strategy, and when I went up to college - university - I carried on and it worked.
Most students - I mean high school and post-graduate students - are way too passive.
Scribble away is the only thing they do, it gives them an excuse not to participate and what is worse, not to think; if they tried to be alert and active 60% of the time they're in class, it would save them a lot of time wasted doing useless homework or trying to re-read notes they took without understanding them.
never write anything you have not understood and pronounced
I am under the impression that we learned more at a time when next to nothing about English speaking countries was available iin terms of music, information and so on .. compared to now.
If your teachers are no good- and I do admit that some of them are, I was a teacher of teachers for almost ten years, and I, for one, know what I am talking about - teach yourselves !

I'm done
Mind if I correct some of your mistakes?

Why not a personnal presentation of each member (well....those who want, of course!) so that the other member can train for the final english test!!! :wink2:

I explain :
Who are you :
How old are you :
What are you doing (study or work) :
Why did you choose these studies (sandwich course or other):
What do you like to do when you are not at school or at work :

...

I'm an English teacher !
Nobody's perfect, are they?

Hi Bernie!
so, how old are you? you seem to be interested in young peopleand your name sounds young too so you must be our age or so.I 've read your messages and i think you shouldn't do the work in the students' place, even if your english is perfect, and tell the girl you would have done the same as her teacher! how could she give her a mark for what YOU did?
But coming here to meet young friends to help is altruistic, you must be a very generous person whose work is the main interest in life. If I was a teacher, I think I wouldn't spend my free time with students when I 'm not in highschool, but with my girlfriend and people I feel close to.Well, I have to go to school. Thanks for your help anyway.
CRABE.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I sensed some very critical - to say the least! - innuendos in your message, Crabe. Funny nickname ! That's what my wife died from - if you have any French, you will understand ! - incidentally, you have an answer to one of your questions - no girlfriend, a widower, 53. You're right, my work is one of my main interests in life, being a high school teacher teaching post-graduate students is demanding, and as I use new technologies a lot - feel free to visit my website - I came across this site by chance and said to myself that I could help, even after hours.
I got the message, so stick with your kin, I'm out once and for all.
