Yes next time I will find one more cheaper ....
Do you think that working in UK is better than in France ?

Working in UK can have some advantages. Even if life is more expensive in UK, because everything is private (health, public transport, etc...), what I like in UK is : everybody has its own chance.

with or without experience, with or without diploma... you can postulate for a job. In a restaurant for example, you can begin as waiter and then, evoluate as manager or something...

Yes I agree.
I have a friend who started as a waiter, without any qualification. He even didn't master the language very well.
He is now, one year after, manager of his restaurant, earn good money, have more free time...
In France you can't do that (or exceptionally... :arrow2: I don't know if this word exist in english).
But the liberal politic is only good for people who can seize their opportunity, or for rich people. Unfortunately, there is a lot of other people who can't see the good side of this : no access to medecine, few good quality state school, a very small pension...
So it is good when you are young and healthy. But when you really want to start you life (house-children) or when you have problems, life is easier in France (financial helps, schools, health...).

Yeah i totally agree with you. Life is much easier in France as you get older. I spent a whole year in the USA as an exchange student and I definitely appreciate everything our government does for french people. We can retire at 60 (at the most) when i was there i could see old people working as cashiers in gas stations or mc donalds cuz they needed money to survive. One of my friend over there had a 4 wheeler accident and he had to take out a loan to pay the hospital bill cuz they cant afford social security! so you can die just because you can't afford to go to the hospital or to the doctor.

Hey Everybody

Am Laura, 22 years old, so sooon! I live in Normandie

Hope everyone will succeed this year and get the BTS...

Good Luck and see you

Bonjour,

Definitely!
In France, companies judge us principally on our certificates and there's a job security: they can't lay employees off as they want, whereas in England, companies judge more on competences and if you're inefficient you can lose your job simply enough.

Working in a foreign country is more interesting when you're young, that's a fact.
