Hi everyone !

I would like to tell you if you know how to traduce this sentence, especially the expression in bold.

" And as befits an executive who is unusual in Germany not for her gender but for her age, they mark a new apporach to the business.
Her ideas include 'environmentally correct' clothes, personal physical and feng shui trainers for managers"

I have already traduced it, but I feel like it doesn't make any sense :notstupide:

"Et comme il convient à un cadre qui est inhabituel en Allemagne non pas pour son genre mais pour son age, ils marquent une nouvelle approche de la société.
Ses idées comprennent les vêtements écologiques, ??? et des entraineurs de feng shui pour les cadres."

Thank you so muuuch

personal physical and feng shui trainers = en gros un coach sportif et en developpement personnel + feng shui?

I don't really understand how the feng shui can help... don't really believe in these things... whatever.

No, feng shui it's a way to arrange your home or office in order to have good energy around you... bullsh*t... :notstupide:

Hey everybody,

tonight, i'm really sad, i don't know if it's the homesick..but it's hard this week.
I'm in the USa for 3 months and my family begins to miss me seriously. It's maybe the approach of Christmas or new year's eve, i don't know..
I do a lot of projects, in particular a great new year wait me in New-York city but i'm so sad tonight.
My family comes here visit me in february, normally.. I hope ! 3 months to wait. wait, always wait.
But to speak by msn, by e-mails or still phone it's more enough for me.
I know, I'm a big girl, I'm 23 now but I had never left so far from my house, from my family, just two years in 200km for my studies and I brought in all the weekends.
And I think too at my friends a lot, and some of them disappoint me a lot because I have no news...

Hi guys!
Lucie, don't worry be happy! We'll have so much fun in NYC for New Year's Eve you can't even imagine! Wait for me in Washington DC I'm coming so soon :wink2:
I miss my family too, I wish they could be here for Christmas or Hannoukah but they won't. I already knew that before leaving France last August and we'll see how is a real American Christmas with snow everywhere, joy in the house, piano time at the end of the meal etc ... :dacc:
Don't worry be happy, we're in the USA :dacc:

Hey

What's a good topic !! (lol) My english is too bad !
I am coming here to speak in english, because tomorrow I will have my second interview concerning a financial position in London. The company is GE Healthcare which is a part of the General Electric Group. My assigmnent, if I were chosen is to resolve supplying dispute and to elaborate a cost strategy. That is so amazing but I need to suceed tomorow. If you have some advice, do not hesitate to give them to me (oulalala c'est anglais ça ?).
It's the opportunity of my life and I am really motivating but my interview will be with an english manager. I really hope to suceed in this position: as a result of which I could speak in a better english in this part of the forum. This internship is paid 1600€/month, located in Amersham (at 27 miles far from London) and is for a 7 month's time. I need to become bilingual because I have signed definitely with Ernst & Young in Luxembourg in 2009 !

Purée c'est dur de ne pas faire de faute de grammaire ! All your critics will be welcoming !

I am coming here to speak in english, because tomorrow I will have my second interview concerning a financial position in London. The company is GE Healthcare which is a part of the General Electric Group. My duties, if I were chosen, would be to work out supplying dispute and to elaborate a cost strategy. That is so amazing but I need to pass the interview. If you have some advice, do not hesitate to give them to me (oulalala c'est anglais ça ?).

First of all, I worry about your grammar and your spelling. London might be a cosmopolitan city however the high executive workers are able to line words up in Englsih without making any mistakes.
The question you have to except is: What can your bring into the company? Your strenghts .....Beware that few of people got the shot to get an interview. Make the most of it. The only thing you need to do is to convince the employer that you are the one he's looking for. Make some research about the company. A candidate, willing to work in company that he does not know is just a joke for the employer.
Don't be pumped and over excited. Don't talke way too fast. If they say you, we keep in touch, it will mean basically a "please don't show your face here ever again" in my opinion.
Careful brits are always smily and sorry for everything. Even if you speak like shit they'll alwayz give you the feeling that you have a shot to get the position. But don't be fooled, in France you know if you failed the interview. In England you never know. Everything is back stage. Most of the time, it means "please don't show your face here ever again". To conclude don't rely on this. Don't think you pass the interview, cos you must've have failed it. Amersham is a crap area. I've been there once, it's far from beig as popular as London, so you'll sharpen your english a bit faster.

Wowowowoowowowowww

My interview have just finished, it was really hard to understand this manager who speak with a quick pace. However, I am satisfay about my performence despite some english mistakes. Nevertheless, we are 4 for this vacancy so I do not expect a positive response. My resume could save me if my competitors are not bilingual. So wait and see until next week. My next interview is thursday with a little company in south of england ;) . Thank you aigain 9mm

To be honest witu, I would be surprised, if you hooked the position. Cos your english is very bad. I'm not trying to be rude witu au contraire. You should be trying to attend some english classes in an english speaking country beforehand. The labor market in England is very harsh and if you are unable to speak english properly you will always have a negative feedback. You might be experienced, overgraduated and so on but if you don't have communication skills you'll always fail the interview and your cv won't change anything. Actually your oral prestation put you down as you lack of fluency. You see that, even with a good cv you were unable to hook the job.
Where will your interview take place. Southampton, Portsmouth, Plymouth, .......?

You are right, I am thinking to study in england before working for an english company. I am aware of my shit english and I will do whatever I can to change it because I have no choice. Thank you man !

To study? I did not mean you have to study in a uni or business school or whatever. You don't have to. You just need to practice a bit more your english dude. Avoid London. You should opt for South England or the area of Hampshire, Oxforshire, Northampton. There are more native there than in London. And nothing prevents from learning english language in the US. American accent tends to be more easier for foreigner than brit accent.

London is a good place for fun. But it's the crappiest place ever if you wanna learn english, mate... he's right, go somewhere else... The UK are not that small

What do you think about Lincoln city ?
Try northern Britain. They use to swallow their words but in the end you'll more fluent than the other dudes who will have opted for London. London is just the crappiest area cos it's imposible to socialize wit people when you don't have money.
